Building Check-in Locations

Gardenia - Outside Gardenia

Evergreen - Outside Evergreen, Fir

How It Works

Gayley Avenue serves as the primary curbside unloading zone for students moving into De Neve Gardenia, De Neve Fir, and De Neve Evergreen. This location requires careful traffic coordination due to its public road access and limited curb space. Guests using long-term will be encouraged to utilize Bruinwalk to make their way back up to De Neve Court.

Shift Procedures by Role

ResLife Professional Staff

⭐  Court Leads, Resident Directors, Assistant Resident Directors, Faculty in Residence, members of other ResLife units, and any other professional staff who are volunteering.

  1. First Shift & Last Shift of the Day

    1. 7:30AM: Pro-staff working this shift will retrieve the court move-in box from the De Neve Front Desk.
    2. 6:30PM: Pro-staff working this shift will return the box, laptop, portable, and snack box via a labeled wagon to the De Neve Front Desk.
  2. Check in and out TBAs and ResLife student staff for their move-in shifts during transition times.

    1. Use the Google Check-In Sheets on the laptop provided to keep track of attendance.
      • TBA Check-In Sheet — When TBAs check out, they can keep lanyards but will need to turn back in the blue name tags.

      • ResLife Student Staff Check-In Sheet — Navigate to your court location and use the corresponding sheet to check-in student staff for their shifts. This includes Resident Assistants (RAs), Resident Government Council (RGC), Programming Board (PB), and On-Campus Housing Council (OCHC)).

    1. Assign ResLife student staff and TBAs to the locations indicated on the map.
    2. Prioritize placing RAs and ResLife student staff at each station. If there are not enough student staff available, assign a TBA to ensure full coverage.
